DIRTY RICE | |
1 pkg. gizzards 1 lb. bulk sausage 2 c. Minute Rice 1 med. onion, chopped 1 bunch green onions, chopped 1 green pepper, chopped 1 c. celery, chopped Salt, pepper, Accent to taste Simmer gizzards 3-4 hours until tender in about 1 quart water. Season gizzards. Remove gizzards from water and chop up. Fry sausage. May add red pepper. Drain on paper towels. Saute onions, pepper and celery in small amount of sausage grease. Add some of broth from gizzards. Cook rice in broth from gizzards. Add other ingredients to rice. |
