WHITE MOUNTAIN CREAM FROSTING 
2 c. sugar
1 c. water
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. vinegar
2 egg whites

Mix sugar, vinegar and water. Boil gently without stiffing, until fine thread forms when portion is slowly poured from spoon. Pour slowly into egg whites, which has been beaten until fluffy. Beat until frosting is cold and thick, add vanilla and spread on cake.
