VERA'S OWN LEMON POUND CAKE 
1 c. butter, softened
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 eggs
3 c. sifted cake flour
1 box lemon flavored instant pudding mix
1 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. lemon extract
1 3/4 c. milk

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs one at a time, stirring after each. Add flour gradually, alternating with milk. (Leave 1/2 cup milk to stir in after pudding is added). Add baking powder. Add pudding mix and rest of milk. Add lemon extract, after all ingredients are stirred in, mix with electric mixer for approximately 2 minutes. Pour batter into greased and floured pound cake pan or bundt pan. Bake at 350 degrees F. for approximately for 1 hour.

LEMON GLAZE:

1 1/4 c. powdered sugar
2 tbsp. lemon juice

Stir well and drizzle over warm cake. Enjoy!
