HONEY CRISP COFFEE CAKE 
2 c. sifted flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. shortening
1 egg
2/3 c. milk

Sift dry ingredients into a bowl; cut in shortening. Add egg and milk, stirring only until all flour is moistened. Spread batter in greased 9-inch square pan; cover with topping. Bake in 400 degree oven for 25-30 minutes.

TOPPING:

3 tbsp. soft butter
1/2 c. honey
3/4 c. shredded coconut
3/4 c. cereal flakes
