CREAM CHEESE POUND CAKE 
1 1/2 c. butter, softened
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 tsp. vanilla or other flavoring
3 c. sugar
6 eggs
3 c. flour

Beat the heck out of butter; cream cheese and sugar, blending well. Add 2 eggs and beat until fluffy. Add 3 cups flour and 4 eggs alternating, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla. Pour into greased and floured tube or bundt pan. Bake at 300 degrees for 1 hour and 30 minutes. Test with toothpick if it doesn't come out clean, bake about 10 minutes more. Cool before removing from pan.
