CHOCOLATE PAN CAKE 
1 stick butter
1/2 c. Crisco
4 tbsp. cocoa
1 c. water
2 c. plain flour
2 tsp. baking powder
2 c. sugar
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 tsp. vanilla

Put first 4 ingredients in a saucepan. Bring to boil. Remove from stove and gradually add to the dry ingredients (5, 6, 7 ingredients) which have been sifted together. Then add the other ingredients which have been mixed together. Bake in greased floured pan at 375 degrees.

FROSTING:

6 tbsp. sweet milk
4 tbsp. cocoa
1 stick butter
Pinch salt

Bring these ingredients to boil. Remove from stove and add: 1 tsp. vanilla

Add chopped nuts and frost cake while cake is still hot.
