SCHAUM TORTE PIE 
2 c. sugar, sifted
6 lg. egg whites, if small use 7
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tbsp. vinegar

Beat egg whites to soft peaks, add 1 cup sugar, beating constantly. Then add second cup of sugar alternately with 1 the 1 tablespoon of vinegar. Beat thoroughly until you can not feel grains of sugar on your tongue when tasted. Add vanilla and beat. Pile into a greased and floured 9 inch pie plate. Bake first half hour at 275 degrees, second half hour at 325 degrees. Serve with any prepared fruit. Whipped cream or a prepared topping makes it heavenly.
