CHOCOLATE FUDGE 
1 c. milk
3-4 tbsp. cocoa
1 tbsp. melted shortening
1-2 tsp. light syrup
Dash salt
2 c. sugar
1 c. chopped nuts
2 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Combine ingredients, except butter and vanilla and nuts. Cook over low heat. When ball forms, take off burner. Add butter and vanilla and nuts. Don't stir.

Cool, then stir with wooden spoon and pour into buttered pan. Cool, cut with buttered knife.
