CREAM CHEESE GEMS 
1/2 c. butter, softened
4 oz. cream cheese, softened
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. lemon peel, grated
1 c. all-purpose flour

In large bowl, beat butter, cream cheese and sugar until creamy. Beat in vanilla and lemon peel. Gradually add flour, blending thoroughly. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheet, spacing cookies about 2" apart. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 minutes.
