HASH BROWN POTATO CASSEROLE | |
1 med. onion, chopped 1/2 stick butter 2 lbs. frozen hash browns 10 oz. pkg. grated Cheddar cheese 1 can cream of mushroom soup 1 can cream of chicken soup 2 c. sour cream with chives 1/2 stick butter 1 to 2 c. crushed corn flakes Brown onions in 1/2 stick butter and set aside. Combine potatoes, cheese and soups. Salt to taste. Stir in sour cream and add browned onions. Place in 9 x 13 inch baking dish. Melt 1/2 stick butter and combine with corn flakes. Spread on casserole and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Good to freeze or refreeze. |
