GERMAN SALAD 
1 head lettuce
1/2 lb. bacon
8 green onions
4 potatoes, fried

Chop lettuce and green onions. Crumble in bacon and add the potatoes. Salt to taste. Mix well then add enough real HOT bacon grease to wilt lettuce. Pour buttermilk over mixture and stir. Serve. NOTE: Add buttermilk to suit your taste.
