FRUIT PIZZA | |
CRUST: 1 yellow cake mix 2 eggs 1/4 c. butter 1/2 c. water 1/4 c. brown sugar 1/2 c. chopped nuts Make crust day or two before serving. Combine all (except nuts) in mixer until smooth, then add nuts. Grease 2 pizza pans real well. Spread crust mixture evenly, pull over to rim of each pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes or until brown. Use fresh and can fruit: 1 can pineapple chunks, drain well 2 or 3 bananas, slice bite size 1 pt. fresh strawberries Any other fruit you desire 2 lg. containers Cool Whip & pile high Place juice in a pan, thicken with 1 heaping tablespoon cornstarch (mixed with a little juice) and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon. Boil until it thickens, cool and chill. Have all chopped fruit in a large bowl and toss with chilled thickened juice. Spread at least 1" high Cool Whip on crusts. Make a gully with end of spoon handle around edge of the crusts. With a slotted spoon put globs of fruit on top of the Cool Whip. Wait to build fruit onto crusts (not more than 1 hour before serving). After all fruit is put on, pile Cool Whip high on top. Garnish with whole strawberries. |
