SWEET POTATO BISCUITS 
1 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
2 tbsp. shortening
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. milk

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Sift flour, baking powder and salt in mixing bowl. Cut in shortening. Add potatoes and mix thoroughly. Then add enough milk to make a soft dough. Turn out onto a lightly floured board and roll out to about 1/2" in thickness. Cut in squares. Place squares not touching on ungreased baking sheet. Bake in preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes. Serve warm, split and serve with room temperature butter. Makes 12 to 14 biscuits.
