GREAT AMERICAN CHOCOLATE CHIP
COOKIES
 
1 c. softened butter
3/4 c. sugar
3/4 c. (packed light) brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
2 1/4 c. unsifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. (12 oz. pkg.) Hershey's semi-sweet
1 c. chopped nuts

Cream butter, sugar, brown sugar and vanilla until light and fluffy. Add eggs; beat well. Combine flour, baking soda and salt, gradually beat into creamed mixture. Stir in chips and nuts. Drop by teaspoon onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes.

Makes 6 dozen cookies.
