CHERRY STREUSEL CAKE 
Batter:

1 c. (2 sticks) butter
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
4 c. all-purpose flour
4 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. vanilla
2 jars cherries
juice of 1 lemon

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, and beat well. Sift flour and baking powder together. Add to butter and sugar mixture gradually. Drain cherries lightly. Mix lemon juice with cherries. Grease a 9x14-inch pan. Pour 1/2 of the batter into the pan. Spread cherries over batter, then spread rest of batter of cherries. Prepare streusel topping and sprinkle over batter. Bake at 350°F for 1 hour.

Streusel Topping:

3 tbsp. butter
4 tbsp. all-purpose flour
3 tbsp. sugar
3 to 4 tsp. cinnamon

Mix butter, flour, sugar and cinnamon until crumbly.
