CRAZY CRUST APPLE PIE 
1 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. sugar
1 egg
2/3 c. Crisco shortening
3/4 c. water
1 (5 oz.) can apple pie filling
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1/2 tsp. nutmeg or spice

In small mixer bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, egg, Crisco and water; blend well. Beat 2 minutes at medium speed. Pour batter into a 9-inch pie pan. Combine pie filling, lemon juice and spice. Pour into center of batter. Do not stir.

Bake at 425°F for 45 to 50 minutes, until crust is golden brown.

Tip: Mincemeat pie filling may be substituted for apple.
