WALDORF SALAD 
6 red skinned apples
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1 1/2 c. chopped celery
1/2 c. chopped walnuts or pecans
3/4 c. mayonnaise
1/2 c. whipped cream
Apple slices and whole nuts for garnish
Lettuce

Wash apples, core and dice coarsely without peeling. Sprinkle with lemon juice, tossing quickly to prevent discoloration. Add chopped celery and nuts to apples, and blend well. Fold mayonnaise into whipped cream and then gently mix with fruit. Place in large salad bowl. Garnish with sliced apples and nuts. Tuck lettuce around side of bowl.
