STRAWBERRY TRIFLE 
1 box yellow cake mix
3 lg. pkgs. sliced strawberries
1 med. Cool Whip
2 c. sugar
6 tbsp. cornstarch
3 c. milk
6 egg yolks
1 tsp. vanilla

Bake cake in 2 layers. After cake has cooled, trim brown edges off and split each layer. Put one split layer in bottom of trifle bowl. Pour one package of thawed berries over cake. Pour 1/3 of pudding over berries. Repeat this process 2 more times. Spread Cool Whip on top. Blend sugar and cornstarch in heavy pan. Stir in egg yolks in a little sugar and add milk gradually. Cook on medium heat. Cool and add vanilla.
