VICTORY GARDEN SKILLET | |
1 lb. ground beef 2 1/2 c. water 1 c. long cooking rice 1 onion, chopped 6 slices single wrapped cheese 1 green pepper 1 tomato, chopped 2 beef bouillon cubes Brown beef in skillet, drain off fat. Stir in water, rice, onion, bouillon cubes. Bring to a boil; stir. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 20 minutes. Cut 4 slices cheese into small pieces. Stir cheese pieces, pepper, and tomato into rice/meat mixture. Cut remaining cheese slices into triangles. Arrange slices on top. Cover and remove from heat. Let stand until all liquid is absorbed, about 5 minutes. |
