SPANISH RICE 
4 strips bacon, browned until crisp
1 1/2 c. rice
1 c. fresh tomatoes, chopped
1/4 c. fresh green pepper
1/4 c. onions
1 c. Cheddar cheese
2 or 3 dashes chili powder (to taste)

Cook rice according to recipe on box. DO NOT USE MINUTE RICE. Saute tomatoes, green pepper, onions, and chili powder until vegetables are limp. Combine with cooked rice; add cheese and bake 15 minutes.
