GERMAN COLE SLAW 
1 firm head cabbage (not too hard)
1 med. sized onion, sliced sm.
1 green pepper, sliced sm.
1/2 tsp. salt
1/3 tsp. sugar
Oil - vinegar

Slice cabbage very thin, cutting down on sides. Put in bowl; add onions and peppers. Mix through, then add salt and sugar. Add enough oil to make cabbage glisten (not too much). Add a little at a time, then add vinegar to taste. Best to make 1/2 hour before your meal. You can cut cabbage and store in plastic bag overnight.
