FUDGE SWIRL CAKE | |
2 tbsp. butter 8 oz. cream cheese 1/4 c. sugar 1 tbsp. cornstarch 1 egg 2 tbsp. milk 1/2 tsp. vanilla 2 c. sifted flour 2 c. sugar 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1/2 c. butter 1 c. milk 1/3 c. milk 2 eggs 4 oz. melted chocolate 1 tsp. vanilla Cream butter, cream cheese, 1/4 cup sugar and cornstarch. Add egg, milk and vanilla. Beat at high speed until smooth and creamy. Set aside. Grease and flour 13x9 pan. Combine flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, and soda. Add butter and 1 cup milk and blend at low speed. Beat 1 1/2 minutes. Add 1/3 cup milk, 2 eggs, chocolate and vanilla; beat 1 1/2 minutes at low speed. Spread 1/2 cake batter in pan. Spoon cheese mix over batter, spreading carefully to cover. Top with remaining cake batter. Spread to cover. Bake. Cool and frost with my chocolate frosting. |
