SESAME SLAW 
1/4 c. rice vinegar (or cider)
2 tbsp. sugar
3/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tbsp. black pepper
1 tbsp. sesame oil
1/3 c. vegetable oil
1 sm. head green cabbage, finely shredded
4-5 scallions cut into 4" lengths & thinly sliced lengthwise
3 tbsp. toasted sliced almonds
1 (8 oz.) can water chestnuts, drained
2 tbsp. toasted sesame seeds
3 oz. Ramen instant noodles, uncooked, broken up

Combine first 4 ingredients and whisk in the 2 oils. Set aside. Combine rest of ingredients and toss thoroughly. Refrigerate until ready to serve. Toss salad with oil and vinegar dressing and serve.
