COLE SLAW DRESSING 
1 c. mayonnaise
Dash salt
Enough milk to make pourable
1 tbsp. vinegar
3 tbsp. sugar

Mix well. Let stand about 15 minutes before using.

This is the coleslaw dressing my mom passed along to me many years ago, and what I remember from my childhood. I've never used bottled or any other recipe. I always try to use fresh grated cabbage too. Add carrots if you like or green peppers, but whatever you choose to do, this is just about perfect, and you'll love it. Also instead of putting salt into the dressing, I always add salt and pepper to the grated cabbage before pouring the dressing over. Refrigerate for about an hour before serving. Great with barbecue or as a side dish.
