ENGLISH TRIFLE 
1 dozen lady fingers
Raspberry preserves
2 tbsp. golden sherry or sherry extract
1 (14 oz.) instant vanilla or French vanilla pudding
1 (9 oz.) container Cool Whip topping
1/2 c. sliced almonds
Maraschino cherries

Take lady fingers and slice in half. Spread raspberry preserves in middle of lady fingers. Press in bottom of a 2 quart glass bowl. Sprinkle golden sherry on top. Prepare pudding according to directions on package. Pour pudding on top of lady fingers. Spread Cool Whip on top of pudding. Garnish with sliced almonds and maraschino cherries.
