FRUIT CAKE 
1 c. brown sugar, packed
3/4 c. butter
1 egg
3/4 c. sour milk or buttermilk
2 c. flour, all-purpose
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 box seedless raisins
1 c. nuts
1 c. dates, cut up
1/2 c. citron

Mix fruit with flour. Two tablespoons brandy or whiskey. Bake in a stem cake pan in a 350 degree oven.
