POPPY SEED BREAD 
1 c. plus 2 tbsp. sugar
3 1/3 c. all-purpose flour
4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/3 c. plus 1 tbsp. poppy seeds
1 c. plus 2 tbsp. oil
1 1/2 c. milk
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs

Combine sugar, flour, baking powder, salt and poppy seeds in large bowl. Blend well. Mix oil, milk, vanilla and eggs in medium bowl. Add dry ingredients to liquid. Mix at medium speed until smooth. Pour into 2 loaf pans which have been greased and floured. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 25 minutes. Makes 2 loaves.
