VEGETARIAN PATTIES 
1/4 c. corn oil butter
1 c. minced onion
1 c. minced celery
1 c. coarsely shredded carrot
1 c. finely chopped walnuts
1 c. fine dry bread crumbs
1 tsp. salt
1 c. mayonnaise
1 egg, slightly beaten

In skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Saute onion 5 minutes. Add next 5 ingredients and saute 2 minutes. Remove from heat. Stir in mayonnaise and egg. Cool. Shape into patties. In skillet over medium heat, melt remaining butter. Fry patties, turning over 6 minutes. Makes approximately 10 patties.
