4 slices bacon 3 sm. onions 1 clove garlic 2 peppers, chopped 1 can Spam 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce 7 stalks celery, chopped 2 loaves white bread, chopped in food processor 2 cans mushrooms Saute bacon in 2 skillets. Cook until crisp. Remove; add onions, garlic, and peppers. Add chopped up Spam. Add tomato sauce and celery. Add bread and mushrooms. Add chopped bacon. Cook until well blended. Can be used to stuff a turkey or served separately. This recipe comes from Karen's great-great grandmother, who emigrated to the United States from Alsace-Lorraine. It was served every Thanksgiving and Christmas. |
