STIR FRY MAIN DISH | |
1/2 lb. shrimp, shelled and deveined 1/2 lb. snow peas 1/4 lb. mushrooms, sliced 5 tbsp. Mandarine Maggie Gin's FRY SAUCE Have ready all ingredients. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in Wok or skillet. Add meat, 2 tablespoons stir fry sauce and fry 1 minute. Remove meat to plate. Heat 1 more tablespoon oil, add vegetables and 3 tablespoons stir fry sauce. Stir fry for 10 seconds. Add 1/2 cup water, cover and let steam rise to surface (about 2 minutes) or until vegetables are tender crisp. Return meat to skillet or Wok and heat through. Stir in binder (teaspoon cornstarch dissolved in 1 tablespoon water) just until juice thickens, about 10 seconds. I usually doubled this recipe. May be substituted for shrimp, peas, and mushrooms: 1/2 lb. flank steak or other tender beef, thinly sliced 1 lb. asparagus, slant cut in 2 inch lengths 5 tbsp. TRADITIONAL stir fry sauce |
