QUICHE LORAINE 
1 (9") unbaked pie shell
3 strips bacon
1 3/4 c. light cream (half & half)
1/4 c. chopped onion
1 tsp. salt
Dash of pepper
1 tsp. butter
1/2 lb. Swiss cheese (grated)
3 eggs

Cook bacon crisp and crumble. Beat eggs lightly and add cream, salt, butter and pepper; mix well. Arrange bacon in pie shell. Add cheese, then onion. Pour egg mixture over all. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes. Then 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until knife comes out clean. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
