BETTY'S CHERRY CREAM PIE 
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. cornstarch
1/2 tsp. salt
2 1/2 c. milk
3 egg yolks
1 tsp. vanilla
1 can cherry pie filling

Combine sugar, cornstarch and salt. Add egg yolks and mix well. Slowly add milk to mixture. Cook slowly until thickened. Add vanilla. Pour cherry pie filling in crust and then pour cream filling on top. Top with meringue.
