CRANBERRY CHUTNEY | |
2 c. fresh cranberries 3/4 c. packed brown sugar 1/2 c. light raisins 1/2 c. chopped celery 1/2 c. chopped apple or apricots 1/4 to 1/2 c. sugar or honey 1/2 c. water or orange juice 1/4 c. chopped nuts 2 tbsp. finely snipped candied ginger 2 tbsp. lemon juice 1 tsp. onion salt 1/4 tsp. ground cloves In large saucepan combine cranberries, brown sugar, raisins, celery, apple, water, walnuts, ginger, lemon juice, onion salt and cloves. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Simmer covered 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Store covered in refrigerator. Serve chilled. Can also add lemon and orange rind if desired. |
