SHREDDED WHEAT BREAD | |
2 shredded wheat biscuits, broken up & soaked in 1 1/2 c. hot milk 1/2 c. boiling water 1 yeast cake dissolved in 1/2 c. lukewarm water 1 c. molasses 1 tbsp. butter or substitute 1 tsp. salt 5 c. all-purpose flour Let rise in warm place. Bake like white bread about 45 minutes in 360 degree oven for loaf, 15 to 20 minutes for muffins. Makes 2 loaves or 1 loaf and muffins. |
