SHREDDED WHEAT BREAD | |
4 crushed shredded wheat biscuits 2 c. boiling water 1/2 c. molasses 1 tsp. salt 2 tbsp. shortening 1 pkg. yeast dissolved in 1/4 c. warm water 2 c. milk 10 c. flour Put crushed shredded wheat biscuits into bowl with the 2 cups boiling water. Add molasses, salt and shortening. Let cool. Add yeast and milk. Add enough flour to make stiff, about 10 cups. Let rise 1 hour, then place in 2 greased loaf pans. Bake at 400 degrees about 30 minutes or until brown. |
