OLD FASHION VEGETABLE 
2 1/2 lb. beef stew, cut sm.
1 lg. onion, peeled, quartered and sliced
1 c. sliced celery
3 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
10 c. water
6 med. carrots, pared, sliced
2 lg. potatoes, pared, diced
2 c. coarsely shredded green cabbage
1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen corn
1 (10 oz.) pkg. cut green beans
2 tsp. mixed Italian herbs
1 c. (16 oz.) stewed tomatoes
1/4 c. chopped parsley

Braise beef cubes in large kettle. Add onion, celery, salt, pepper and water. Heat to boiling, simmer 2 hours. Add carrots, potatoes, cabbage, corn, beans and herbs. Cook 1 more hour. Add tomatoes and parsley. Cook until boiling. 10 servings.
