CHILI CHOWDER (MICROWAVE) 
3/4 lb. lean ground beef
1 med. onion, chopped
2 tbsp. chopped green pepper
1 (16 oz.) can peeled plum tomatoes
2 c. tomato juice
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. sugar
2 tsp. chili powder

Place beef, onion, and green pepper in a 2-quart microproof casserole. Cover and cook on High for 5 minutes.

Remove casserole and stir contents to break up, drain if necessary. Add tomatoes, including liquid from can, stirring to break up tomatoes. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Cover and cook on High for 7 to 9 minutes.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
