SAUSAGE BEAN CHOWDER | |
1 lb. Jimmy Dean sausage 2 cans kidney beans 1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes, chopped 1 onion, chopped 1/2 green pepper, chopped 1 1/2 tsp. seasoned salt 1/2 tsp. garlic powder 1/2 tsp. black pepper 1 bay leaf 1 qt. water 1 c. diced potatoes Cook sausage until pink is gone. Drain. In large kettle, add sausage, beans, tomatoes, onion, bay leaf, seasonings and water. Simmer, covered, at least 1 hour. Add chopped potatoes and green pepper. Cook until done (15 to 30 minutes). Remove bay leaf. |
