SAUSAGE BEAN CHOWDER | |
2 lb. sausage (1/2 Italian and 1/2 reg.) 2 (28 oz.) can tomatoes 1 c. water 2 lg. onion, chopped 1 c. diced potatoes 3 (16 oz.) cans kidney beans 2 cloves garlic, minced 1 bay leaf 1/2 tsp. thyme 1 1/2 tsp. seasoned salt 1/2 tsp. pepper 1/2 green pepper Cook sausage until brown. Pour off fat. Combine tomato, water, onion, garlic and spices. Add sausage and simmer 2 hours. Add potatoes and beans, pepper and cook until potatoes are done (about 20 minutes). Freezes well. |
