2 c. brown sugar 2 sticks butter 1/2 c. white corn syrup 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1 (12 oz.) box Crispix 1/2 (12 oz.) box Corn Chex 3/4 lb. pretzels 6-8 oz. peanuts Bring to boil: sugar, butter and syrup. Let boil without stirring 3 minutes. Add 1/2 teaspoon baking soda and stir. Pour caramel mixture over cereal mixture and mix well (2 large bowls). Put this mixture into brown paper bag. Place in microwave for 4 minutes, shaking bag each minute. Spread out on wax paper to cool. |
