1 c. flour 1/2 c. butter 1 tbsp. cold water Mix the above as for pie crust, then pat into 2 long pieces on cookie sheet, about 3"x11" pieces. TOP MIXTURE: 1 c. water 1/2 c. butter 1/2 c. flour 3 eggs Almond or vanilla flavoring Bring water and butter to a rolling boil. Add the flour and stir well. Take off the heat and add eggs, 1 at a time. Add the flavor and spread on pastry dough. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 50 minutes or until golden brown. Cool and frost with powdered sugar frosting, put blanched almonds or nut meats on top. |
