SNOWFLAKE SALAD 
1 sm. pkg. lemon Jello
1 sm. can crushed pineapple (including juice)
1 sm. carton Cool Whip
1 c. water
1/2 c. sugar
1 sm. carton cottage cheese

Simmer water, pineapple, and sugar together for a few minutes. Pour over Jello. When mixture thickens, fold in cottage cheese and Cool Whip. Reserve enough Cool Whip to use as frosting for salad. Bananas and pear can be added. Put in a crystal bowl or 8 x 8 inch pan. Frost with Cool Whip.
