HONEY CHEWS 
1/2 c. butter
1 c. honey
1 c. chopped walnuts
1/2 c. chopped dates

Cook butter and honey over slow fire until firm ball can be formed in cold water (about 260 degrees). Stir often. Remove from fire. Add dates and walnuts. Pour into buttered pan and let cool. Cut into squares, then, if desired, roll in ground nuts or coconut.
