SCANDINAVIAN MEATBALLS 
1 lb. ground veal
1/2 lb. ground pork
1 c. soft bread crumbs
1/2 c. milk
1 egg, slightly beaten
3/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/8-1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/8-1/4 tsp. mace
1/2 tsp. lemon rind

GRAVY:

1 can cream of mushroom soup
1/2 c. milk

Mix milk and soft bread crumbs. Let soak. Mix all other ingredients then add milk/bread mixture. Roll meatballs with floured hands. Brown meatballs (browning takes approximately 12 minutes). Mix together gravy ingredients and pour over meat. Let simmer for 45 minutes. Serve with buttered poppy seed noodles. Serves 4.
