BAKED APPLES | |
8 or 9 Rome or McIntosh apples Cut apples in half, core and peel part way down. Put pat of butter in center of each apple. Lightly coat with cinnamon. Fill center with chopped nuts. Lightly coat with brown sugar. Mix 1/2 cup flour with 1 1/2 cups sugar and spread over apples. Sprinkle with red hot candy. Drizzle 1/2 cup water over apples. Baste often at least 2 or 3 times. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Last 10 minutes. Cover with marshmallows and brown. |
