GREEN TOMATO PIE 
3 to 4 lg. green tomatoes, peeled
2 tbsp. vinegar
2 tbsp. water
1 c. sugar
Pinch of salt
2 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 tsp. allspice
2 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
1 pie shell

Chop or slice tomatoes. You will need more tomatoes if you slice them. Squeeze liquid from tomatoes. Add vinegar and water. Sift sugar with salt, flour, and spices; mix in tomatoes. Pour into pie shell; dot with butter. Bake at 450 degrees for 15 minutes. Reduce heat and bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees.
