LAYERED GARDEN PASTA SALAD 
1 pkg. (7 or 8 oz.) macaroni shells
1/2 c. sliced green onions
1/4 c. bacon bits
1 c. mayonnaise or salad dressing
1/4 c. lemon juice
3 tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese
2 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
4 c. bite size pieces salad greens
1/2 c. shredded carrots
1 c. cauliflowerets
1 c. broccoli flowerets
2 med. tomatoes, bite size pieces
1 (4 oz.) pkg. fancy shredded Cheddar cheese

Cook macaroni as directed on package; drain. Rinse with cold water; drain. Stir together macaroni, onions and bacon bits in medium bowl.

Mix mayonnaise, lemon juice, Parmesan cheese, sugar and garlic powder in 3 1/2 quart salad bowl, layer salad greens, macaroni mixture, carrots, cauliflower, broccoli and tomatoes. Pour dressing evenly over top.

Cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours. Sprinkle with fancy (thinly shredded) Cheddar cheese just before serving. Refrigerate any remaining salad. Makes 8- 10 servings.
