OLD FASHIONED GINGER COOKIES 
2 eggs
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. molasses (Brer Rabbit dark)
1 c. shortening
1 tsp. baking soda in little warm water
1 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. salt
Enough flour for stiff dough

Be sure ginger has not lost strength. Use cookies plain or iced with confectioners' sugar icing.
