MEAT BALLS WITH SAUERKRAUT 
1 lb. ground beef, cooked
2 c. cold cooked cereal
3 tbsp. chopped onions
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. celery salt
1 egg or 2 yolks, unbeaten
2 tbsp. bacon drippings
3 1/2 c. sauerkraut
1/3 c. brown sugar, firmly packed (if desired)
1/4 c. water
2 tbsp. vinegar

Combine first 7 ingredients thoroughly. Shape in small balls and brown slowly on all sides in a skillet with the bacon drippings. Pour sauerkraut and juice over meat balls. Add brown sugar, water, and vinegar; cover and simmer about 20 minutes or until meat balls are done through. 5 generous servings.
