SAUERKRAUT AND MEAT BALLS 
1 lb. ground pork, unseasoned
1 lb. ground beef
1/4 c. rice
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. salt
4-6 c. stewed tomatoes
20 oz. can sauerkraut

Put tomatoes and sauerkraut in saucepan and bring to a boil; turn down heat to simmer. Make meat balls, mixing pork and beef together. Mix in salt, eggs, and rice. Shape in balls about the size of walnuts and drop on top of sauerkraut and tomato mixture. Simmer about 1 hour or until rice is tender.
